Spaced repetition

In order to remember things such as texts, one of the most important principles is spaced repetition. The most efficient way to learn something is to actively recall it (test yourself). The learning effect of this action is dependent on when you actively recall the thing from memory. If you do it with a short interval between your practices then the learning effect is very small. The more time there is between your rehearsals, the greater the learning effect! However, if you are no longer able to recall the text actively then the learning effect is very small (you have forgotten the text). The trick is to practice the text just before you would otherwise have forgotten it. Wozzol manages the timing for you so that you learn optimally.

Using Wozzol Learn Your Lines you can test yourself on texts by being able to see the previous sentence(s). This prompts you to think of what the following sentence should be.

Learn your texts line by line

You view the texts one line at a time. Before you are shown a line, you will need to think of it yourself first. After you have seen the next line you must record whether you knew it well (green button), only just got it (dark green button), or didn't know it (red button). This is how you test yourself on a text. Wozzol then quizzes you again on the lines you didn't know.
